Quotes of the Month: October - December 2013

Well, I knew I was behind in my blogs, but I didn't realize that I was this far behind.  I hadn't realized that I still needed to do October's quote in addition to November's (along with the many other blogs I want to write).  So, without further adieu, here they are.

October's quote is from Gandhi.  I recently saw the movie Gandhi on AFN.  I hadn't seen it probably since high school.  Gandhi really was a remarkable person and the world would be a much better place if more people chose the likes of Gandhi and Martin Luther King as heroes rather than random Kardashians.

Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.
       - Mahatma Gandhi

November's quote is a quote I read in a magazine recently (Smithsonian, I think).  I don't even remember what the article was about but I did remember the quote.  It really had a good life coaching vibe to it and it made me think of my friend Nicole and her blog, The Alchemy of Balance

When one door closes, another door opens; but we so often look so long and regretfully upon the
closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.

        - Alexander Graham Bell

I figured I better go ahead and do December's quote too since, well, it's nearly December already.  I think it's a fitting end to this blog entry.

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.
       - Robert Frost
